Our first official match for the year 2012. We went against a good team with various players from various teams - Jana Villa FC. We saw some familiar faces who ever defeated us long time ago, but that didn't matter. We didn't use neither our Home nor Away jersey. Thanks to Omar's brother for lending his yellow football kits to us. There were linesmen and a referee even.

In the first half, we were quiet and shaken by their constant pressuring, but we kept trying to push them back and counterattack. The opposing team were communicating with each other really well. Their passes were good, a little mistake, but overall they were all nice - especially through balls. As for us, we also did call out each other's names from time to time though - but only when the ball was being brought forward. Unexpectedly, the first goal was scored beautifully by Omar who headed in the net from a Haadi cross on the right side. To our surprise, we actually drew first blood! That's something to be proud of! Take it as an achievement for the team for drawing first blood in this fresh new year.

Unfortunately, our back four weren't able to keep out and disturb Jana Villa's strikers as they slotted 3 goals in a row in less than 30 minutes into the game - but we didn't give up. It was clearly not, Aqil, the goalkeeper's fault. Besides, the terrain on the goalkeeper's area was sandy and not flat. Nevertheless, we kept on going, finding open spaces to flank the left and right backs of Jana Villa. We weren't able to get one or two more goals before stoppages. And so, the referee blew the whistle for the end of the first half. It ended 3 - 1. We planned a new formation and a slight change of positions for our players.

The second half started. Honestly, we were dominating! We kept on attacking by feeding the ball into the path of the runners. Everyone seemed to improvise after a quiet first half. It was a great sight to see indeed! Our opponents were feeling rather tired, but they didn't go easy on us although they had the lead. (Obvious fouls weren't given to us, but were for Jana Villa.) Hamdi, who was playing left-back, scored the second goal for Cobra! They called for an offside, but the flag remained down. A few minutes after that, they bagged another 2 goals so the scoreline topped up to 5 - 2. This is when we started to control the game. A relaxing finish by our volunteer player, Abin, challenged and struggled with the last man and managed to shoot the ball past the goalkeeper which rolled on safely into the net. The last goal for Cobra was scored by Afiq who luckily put it in the bottom corner. We had lots of chances, but we weren't able to convert them into goals. We could've won the game! All of us were hoping to even the scoreline, but was unable to as they got ahead of us first. The match ended 6 - 4. Courtesy to the goalscorers who did their best!

All in all, it was a terrific game! Man of the match? Definitely Malik Mahari, our next Mr. Dependable! He played very well in the left-back position. No looks of tiredness. He just kept going and going, clearing the ball, intercepting passes and winning the ball by sliding in front of the ball carriers - CLEANLY, EVEN! Good job, everyone! Thanks to those who came and volunteered to play with us. We are very grateful for your presence. You guys did a good job too! 'Til next time!

ABC FC 2 - 7 Cobra FC

I have to admit, it felt great beating them, no wait, thrashing them down. We did'nt expect this big of a win, we were actually nervous at the start of the game. It was drizzling at UBD the rain made us even more nervous. ABC's early 1 goal lead got our hopes down but once we scored that equalizer we were back in the game and just a few minutes after that, we scored our 2nd goal to make it 2-1 just by the half time. In the 2nd half, ABC equalized and it seemed we were fated for a draw, but no we kept scoring and scoring. credits to the defenders especially to Wafi for shutting out the competition. Overall, everyone has improved alot and I'm proud to be in this team.

Cobra 10 - 4 SAS

We were using our away jerseys today in our friendly match against SAS. They hadn't enough players so we just played 10 aside with Malik on their side. We scored 5 in the first half while they stayed nil. In the second half, one of their players went home unexpectedly so I volunteered to play for SAS FC - still 10 aside though. A few minutes before the game came to an end, Harith Waie also changed his jersey and played for SAS FC. We scored 4 in the second half, but they scored another 5. A good game indeed! I enjoyed it and I'm sure everyone else did too!

We won our first match against them at the RBA field with a scoreline of 5 - 4. Unfortunately, today we were torn to shreds with new temporary imported players from various teams. Overall, I think most of us enjoyed the fun on the field. In the first half, their goalkeeper was shown a red card because he touched the ball while making contact on one of our strikers, Faiz Sabri. Although they were 10 men down, they still managed to play well. We were pressurized and scoreless in the first half, but not in the second half. The first goal was a rebound by Omar from a penalty shoot-out by Azrin. The other two goals which I didn't see were both by Harith Waie.

Most of us are still rusty from a big break before and during the O'levels. Nevertheless, it was a terrific game indeed!

In fact, we don't really care about the scoreline. It was a friendly after all. At least we boys and girls had fun under the pouring rain. For girls, they have got skills. Not bad at all. Also, this is Cobra's first match during the night. There wasn't an official referee nor linesmen but Waie's dad and his friend volunteered to take turns in each half to become the referee. Good game! We wish to play the real Dragonfly F.C. next time! :)

Today's match was SAS U-19s against SMSS U-19s (formerly known as PDS), held at Menglait field. In the first half, Harith Waie scored the first goal by bringing the ball swiftly on the left side. Despite engaging first blood, we thought we still had hope to win the game but the tables turned and we lost with a scoreline of 1 - 4. We lack of defense in the middle because they got carried away with their positions at times. Overall, it was a very good game. Congratulations to SMSS for winning. Both teams played very well. We still have matches in hand so there's no need to worry.

We defeated eX! in their own grounds today. A great performance from all of the players and thank you so much for the supporters! Amin engaged first blood. It was 1 - 2 in the first half but Nick made some changed plans. In the end, we pushed them back real hard with a 4 - 2 scoreline. The captain is also very proud of each and every one of you and would like to thank us all for being an awesome team. Also, thanks to Afiq, Zul and Bahrin's cooperation in becoming the referee and the linesmen for the match.

As they are a good team with good players , players who are well known as fathul , bahrin , choi , hakim , wadud and many others. so,we have to be ready for what's coming. A few minutes before the first half ended, they scored 3 goals in a row because our defenders were far apart. Nick asked us to push it harder but with full shit this time. We did our best and scored numerous goals from headers and flicks from our midfielders and strikers. In the last minutes of the second half, our defense were down from 5 to 3. Although there were only 3 defenders, they only scored a goal. Both teams played very well. Let's have another friendly match some other time, yes?

A teacher will be there to spectate the match. And about the inter-school competition, it's best for us to withdraw because the team is not fully prepared. In the second half, the scoreline was settled. It was 5 - 2! We were behind but we managed to drive them back, leaving them helpless. Cobra F.C 5 - 4 Wafi's Team

It was raining heavily but the game was still on. It was (SAS FC + Knights FC (It was called Courage FC before) + Cobra FC) against a guy named Wafi from our school's year 10's team. Only Azrin, Azizi, Omar, Ashif, Malik, Sahrul and I showed up to help them out. The first half was a little disappointing for us because it was 2 - 4 but not until the second half where we pushed them back with spectacular assists and goals. Thus, we made it 5 - 4! We won! Arsyad from Knights FC and Muqtadir from SAS FC did a very good job! Ashif suffered an injury because he was running for the ball near the drain -- barefooted! He then slipped and bruised his lower part of the elbow and also his toe. Next time, if you already noticed that the field is slippery, don't try and be a hero to run for the ball like that! It's dangerous! You could've knocked your head right at the sharp edge! And wear your boots!

The results were: A hat-trick by Malik, a relaxed free-kick goal by Azrin and the first goal by Ashif. Our goalkeeper was Brian and he had so much luck with him that he saved most of the shots by the opposing team! Well done!

Friendly futsal match at Harun's.

We had a friendly match against SAS FC playing futsal this morning at Harun's Gym with a Galacticos FC player, Afiq Taufiq who played alongside SAS FC. We played from 10 until 12 in the afternoon. I could see that most of us are improving especially Yusree. He played really well today and I'm quite impressed with the way he meddled with the ball! The others displayed a brilliant show as well! We didn't count the scores but all I know is that we were leading way ahead of SAS FC. SAS FC had less substitutes so some of us volunteered to play along with them. It was very enjoyable and we look forward to it again in the near future. Maybe some time soon? Thank you for coming, guys!

Portsmouth 2-0 Liverpool, Fulham 3-0 Man United. Who would've expect them to lose? And by more than one goal and worse, not even a single goal was scored by Liverpool or Man United. Why is this? Reason is simple. It's football, anything can happen and I mean anything. So, Man United already lost 5 in the league this season, Liverpool lost 7! Last season, Man United only lost 4 and Liverpool only lost 2 overall. This season have not even reached half and look at those stats! What's wrong? Especially with Liverpool..

Liverpool 1 - 2 Arsenal

Another lost for Liverpool, 3 wins in the last 15 games in all competitions. I must say, this has been an absolutely dreadful season for Liverpool. Great performance in the first half from the Reds and deserved to lead 1-0 through Dirk Kuyt. But then in the second half, a different Arsenal side from the first half turned it around. A bizzare own goal from Glen Johnson and a wonder strike from Arshavin was enough to give Arsenal the 3 points. Liverpool were under pressured in the second half, you could clearly see it (if you watched the game). So Shif, I have no excuses of why Liverpool lost. Arsenal deserved the win, especially because of their performance in the second half. Although it's a disappointing day for the Reds, it was a really good game to watch.

Oh and btw, I'm not extremely stressed out about this result. The reason for this is because I had Fettuccine Alfredo for lunch, so yeah don't think i'm emo yea? ok bye.

Aston Villa Shocks Man United

The final wistle is blown! Aston Villa winning against Man United at Old Trafford for the first time in 1983! Well, I really doubt Aston Villa could hold on the 1-0 lead but as I said.. anything can happen in football. So, Aston Villa already beating Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield, beating Chelsea 2-1 at Villa Park and now beating Man United 1-0 at Old Trafford. I have to say, they are a strong team, just inconsistent.. They are still a threat to any team though. Sorry to all of my friends who are Man United fans especially Sahrul.

Premier League Update

So, 8 games were played so far in the Premier League tonight. Amazingly, 6 of the games ended in draws. Great game between Chelsea and Everton which ended 3-3, Bolton and Man City also ended in similar score, Tottenham lost to Wolverhampton 1-0. I'm currently watching Man United vs Aston Villa, current scoreline is 1-0 to Aston Villa. Hope it will stay that way but I doubt it will because Man United always response back but hey, anything can happen in football!

On Sunday, at 12 midnight, it's the big clash between Liverpool and Arsenal. Good news for Liverpool is that Fernando Torres and Alberto Aquilani are both fit to play. Last season, this fixture ended in a 4-4 thriller at Anfield with Andrei Arshavin scoring all the 4 goals for Arsenal while for Liverpool were Torres and Benayoun, each scoring 2. Come on Liverpool!

The Kop has a new idol by the name of Fernando Torres - and no one makes the famous stand bounce like Liverpool's No.9.

Signed for a club record fee of approximately £20 million in July 2007, El Nino was handed the shirt vacated by Anfield legend Robbie Fowler.

Undaunted, he soon became the first Red since Fowler in 1996-97 to break the 30-goal barrier and is already on his way to achieving Godlike status.

Before joining the Premier League aged 23, Torres spent 12 years with hometown club Atletico Madrid.

Such was his prodigious talent he was named the best U14 player in Europe following his performances in the 1998 Nike Cup.

Torres became the youngest player in Atletico history upon making his debut in May 2001. He went on to bag 21 goals in 2003-04 after being named Vicente Calderon's youngest ever skipper at the age of 19.

Having already top-scored in European U16 and U19 Championships, El Nino earned a first senior cap in September 2003 against Portugal. Seven months later he chalked up a first international goal against Italy. The forward would go on to net three times in the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Clubs around Europe, including Manchester United and Arsenal, were understandably circling. However, in May 2007 it became clear Torres had his heart set on Merseyside when he revealed the phrase 'We'll Never Walk Alone' on the inside of his captain's armband during a match between Atletico and Real Sociedad.

Two months of speculation and paper talk ensued before the striker was finally unveiled at Melwood.

Torres made his competitive debut for Liverpool at Villa Park on August 11, 2007. A week later he smashed in his first official goal (he'd already scored in a pre-season friendly versus Shanghai Shenhua) when a trademark burst of pace against Chelsea sent Anfield wild.

Successive home hat-tricks to see off Middlesbrough and West Ham helped the hitman total 33 in 2007-08, including 24 in the league to overtake Ruud van Nistelrooy and become the most prolific foreigner ever in a debut season in England.

His crucial strike in the Stade Velodrome against Marseille won Goal of the Season on Liverpoolfc.tv, and it came as no surprise when fans also voted him their Player of the Year.

As if all this wasn't enough, Torres then topped off an incredible season by helping Spain to Euro 2008 glory in Austria and Switzerland. It was he who scored the winner in the final against Germany - one of two throughout the tournament. Remarkably, it was Spain's first major honour since 1964 - and our No.9 was the hero.

A series of hamstring injuries disrupted 2008-09, though a haul of 17 goals from 38 appearances aided Liverpool's best title charge since 1990.

Torres spent a large part of the summer that followed in South Africa, where an awesome 11-minute hat-trick against New Zealand helped Spain reach the Confederations Cup semi-finals.

It's time to pull up our socks and start thinking optimistically. Boys, I know I have no rights to make the calls or anything but I'm thinking of letting Nicholaus remain as the captain and coach of the team. If anyone's thinking, "Oh, why does he have to be the captain? He always bosses people around." or "Man, he treats us like animals! He doesn't even know how we feel!". I say, NO. I've given a deep thought and here goes nothing. Have you ever thought that he's the reason we improvised. He's the reason we play together as a team, not like fools trying to chase for the ball amongst each other. And he's the reason that Cobra F.C. was formed and has put its name up on lights. Even Amin has posted our team motto.

The team meeting is still on though.

Guys, do you know that Chelsea has the lowest number of League Titles won among the so-called 'Big Four'? Okay, let's take a look. The current highest is both Liverpool and Man United, with 18. Second is Arsenal with 13. While Chelsea with only 3! Yes, tiga. 2 of them coming in recent seasons (2004-05, 2005-06) both managed by Jose Mourinho at that period. So yeah.. that's a fun fact, isn't it?

A very nice job to the team today at RBRC! We won against Galacticos F.C.

Cobra F.C. 5 - 4 Galacticos F.C.

Tayib didn't show up so we had to ask Amirul (Sahrul's brother) to be our goalkeeper but eventually, Omar switched positions with Amirul so Omar was our goalkeeper throughout the game. Honestly, Omar did great in goalkeeping! He should be our goalkeeper, you know? Too bad Nick wasn't there to see Omar play. Our first scorer was Zairul and then followed by Harith Waie in the first half. In the second half, we were aided by two random guys who showed up because we didn't have any substitutes so they wanted to play with us. This.. guy, who was in white, scored the third goal and soon, Amin scored the fourth. It was a tie and the clock was ticking. Only 22 minutes left till full time. At last, Azrin put in the last goal, making it 5 for us. Both teams played very well. This is.. the first victory playing on the big field? Hahaha.

WHOA! Have you heard about the SAS FC Cup Tournament? I heard it's going to start this 29th of November until the 6th freakin' December! Entry fee is $35 per team, not per person or that'd be insane! They've put in our name on the list. Did anyone of us signed up for this? Why weren't any of us informed? :o
